Cold Weather Blues

I like winter. If I didn’t, I would have looked south after college, or I’d tell hubs we could relocate. I need the completion of four separate seasons. I like snow. That all being said, I do NOT like how cold it has been around here lately. Last week, I had to borrow Mom’s car for work on Wednesday, because my car just would not start. Friday, it didn’t want to start again… Had to wait until 3pm to get a jump start. Fine. I didn’t want to deal with the car when I was already dealing with pain in my ear… I called out of work. Monday, I had a doctor’s appointment. No problem with the car at all. I had to go back to the doctor’s yesterday… and the car wouldn’t start. Called my mechanic this morning, but so far, he still hasn’t called me back. I need the car running tomorrow, since I have to get to work tomorrow and Friday. I only got 10 damn hours this week as it is.  ENOUGH ALREADY!

Then, there are the voices in my head. No, I’m really not mental. The “voices” are plot bunnies, scenes, and conversations for my writing, both original fic and fan fic. Currently, the loudest voices are for a combo shot. What if the last GI Joe/Cobra battle took place at the Pit? 320 years in suspended animation. How would Hawk and 12 of his Joes adjust? And whatever happened to Cobra?

And I noticed something, looking at my stats this morning. “Most searched terms: Armstrong heater slang”. Really? People couldn’t get that from the original post? Or were they wondering if I was the only one who used that term?

I need to see if I can get the car started, or try calling my mechanic again. I really can’t afford this BS.
