I have come to a few conclusions after last night’s presidential candidate debate: 1)There should be a REQUIREMENT that the President of the United States have some type of military experience. I don’t care if it’s the National Guard or the Merchant Marines, the person MUST have some experience. 2) The first time a president APOLOGIZES to a foreign nation for the US protecting itself and its allies, he should be IMPEACHED.3) ETIQUETTE classes for the president, first lady (or First Man), VP and spouse and all cabinet members is to take place BEFORE the Inauguration. 4) ALL salaries for the POTUS, VP, Speaker, House of Reps and Senate needs to be cut in HALF, life-long benefits STOPPED, and stricter limits put in place and ENFORCED by the PEOPLE.
We have had forty-two men hold the title of President of the United States. Of those forty-two, SEVEN have had absolutely NO military background at all. Some did not serve in a branch of the Armed Services, but did have civilian experiences with various conflicts. In the last fifty years, only TWO presidents haven’t had that background….Bill Clinton and Barak Obama. I’d like to ask any vets how the military REALLY fared under these two men. The first time the Twin Towers were attacked, Clinton basically rolled over and played dead. Obama seems to be handing our country to those who hate us most: the Muslim nations. He has been on video bowing DEEPLY to those leaders, and apologizing for the past actions of this country. Are we, as a nation, perfect? No. We have been the aggressors more than some people care to admit. But to apologize for retaliating against attacks on OUR people and our allies? Really? That made me throw up.
The debates this year have been a disgusting mockery. “I did this” “Well, I did that” And let’s not forget the lies. I’ve seen GRADE SCHOOL STUDENTS hold more honest debates AND stay ON TOPIC!
Oh, I forgot one thing. The VP needs to be a thinking human being. Laughing hyenas need no longer apply.
